Welcome to the Oxford County Branch
of Ontario Ancestors
The Oxford Branch of Ontario Ancestors (The Ontario Genealogical Society) was founded in 1979 and is dedicated to supporting and promoting genealogical research in Oxford County. We focus on collecting and preserving information that will be useful for anyone researching ancestors that lived in Oxford County.
Our research library is a non-lending, private library and is located at 82 Light Street, Court House Square, Woodstock, ON. Unfortunately because of COVID-19 our library is closed until further notice. We apologize for this inconvenience and trust you will understand that the health and safety of our patrons and volunteers are paramount.
Our library may be closed but we are still available to help you with your research. Send your research queries to oxford@ogs.on.ca. Our volunteer research team will do a limited search on the available resources. Visit our Services page for further information.
Joining the Oxford County Branch of Ontario Ancestors is a good way to expand the scope of your genealogical research, as well as to meet people with a similar interest.
